Melba Deere Sharp

Ms. Melba Rhea Deere Sharp, 93, of Linden, passed away Monday December 15, 2025 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born in Lexington, Tn., to the late Ebb Dickson Deere and Anna Laura Patterson Deere. She had worked for the Perry County Superintendent's Office and at Linden Apparel. She enjoyed quilting, reading and doing puzzles. Ms. Melba was a member of the Linden First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband J.W. Sharp, sisters Evelyn Buck and Patty Thompson and Edward Deere, Jack Deere and Thomas Deere.

Survivors include her children Karen Werfel of Waverly, Terri Sharp of Linden and Tim Sharp of Linden, grandchildren Krystal Werfel, Stacie Werfel, Samantha (Eric Breeden) and Thomas (Ashton) Werfel, great-grandchildren Finley Beth Werfel, Walt Werfel, Benjamin Santana and Bryce Santana, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
