Melinda (Mindy) (Cooley) Hemmann passed away at her home in Lincoln on April 26th following a short battle with cancer.
Mindy was born Sept 5, 1955 in Council Bluffs IA to Louis and Alma (Somers) Cooley.
She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High and attended college at Iowa Western. In 1990 she was united in marriage to Lonnie Hemmann of
Amherst, NE.
Mindy is survived by her husband, Lonnie, brothers Jeff (Liz) Cooley, Mark Cooley, Brother in Law's Larry (Connie) Hemmann, Dave (Karen) Hemmann, plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mindy was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Steven, and brother Louis who died in Vietnam.
Mindy was known for her wit, humor and generosity. She loved gardening, decorating and spending time with loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June at noon at Isles Pub and Pizza 6232 Havelock Avenue in Lincoln. Memorials can be sent to her husband, to be divided between Hospice and The American Cancer Association.
