Melissa Lauren Abrams Coble, 34, of Gilbert, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in West Columbia on August 29, 1991, Melissa was a beloved daughter of William Paul Abrams and the late Melba Jean Ferguson Abrams. She was a proud Gamecock fan who loved spending time with her husband, Blake, and their children, Carson and Chandler. Melissa embraced life to the fullest, whether enjoying a sunny day on the lake, shopping with friends, or taking beach trips with her family. Her bright personality matched her favorite color, yellow, bringing light and warmth to everyone who knew her.
In addition to her father, Paul Abrams (Lissa), Melissa is survived by her devoted husband, Blake Coble; her two cherished children, Carson and Chandler Coble; her sister, Alicia Nixon (Brian); and her father and mother-in-law, Phil and Donna Coble Diener; brother and sisters-in-law, Chad Coble (Natalie), Ashley Miles (Brandon) and Jenna Rice (Zachary); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her loving mother, Melba Jean Ferguson Abrams, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Katherine Ferguson, and Jim and Lillian Gold, and also her father-in-law, Jeffery Coble.
A funeral service celebrating Melissa’s life will be held at 3 o’clock on Tuesday, October 21st, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2 o’clock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Melissa’s honor be made to Breast Cancer Awareness Research, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.
