Born November 6, 1958, in Calloway County, Melissa was the daughter of the late Billy Joe and Carlene (Moody) Hale. Melissa enjoyed horseback riding, competing and winning many times. She worked in several restaurants in the local area, as well as in Alabama, where she enjoyed meeting new people.
Those left to cherish memories of Melissa include her husband of 24 years, John Blevins of Rainsville, AL; a son, Robert "Bob" McLemore of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Jacob McLemore-Umphress and Madison McLemore-Martin; brother, Barry Hale, wife Marion of Almo, KY; aunt, Linda Guthrie of Riverside, AL; as well as many loved family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ollie and Bea Hale and Carl and Marie Moody.
A Celebration of Life gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the Coles Campground Church Fellowship Building.

Melissa had a kind heart and was funny and always a good friend . I enjoyed riding horses with her when we were about 14 years old . She was very caring . I know she will be greatly missed by many . May God comfort her family , friends and loved ones during this difficult time of grief.
