Melissa Michelle Edwards

Melissa Michelle Edwards, 52, passed away on May 5, 2023, in Jacksonville, Florida. Melissa was born on January 9, 1971, in Huntington, West Virginia to Darrell Alan Edwards and Jennifer Sue Henson.
Melissa loved anything that was outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, succulents, orchids, her chickens, going for hikes, bird watching, the beach, traveling, trying new foods, and cooking her favorites like peach cobbler or spaghetti. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her grandchildren in the garden or at their favorite park. Melissa knew no stranger and made everyone she met feel loved. She lived a life full of love and laughter.
She is preceded in death by her father, Darrell Alan Edwards.
She is survived by her children, Katelynn Shelby Hellard (Storm Travis Jackson) and Travis Alan Hellard (Kaitlyn Eleanor Futch); grandchildren, Bryson Guilford Futch and Parker Alan Hellard; the father of her children, Danny Lee Hellard II; mother, Jennifer Sue Henson; father, David Morris Crum; siblings, David Morris Crum II, Katura Lanette Crum, and Joshua Grant Crum; and her dogs, Nellie and Jeepers.
A celebration of life will be held on June 10, 2023 from 9 AM- 12 PM. It will be hosted at Rivertown Amenity Center – Riverhouse, 140 Landing Street, St Johns, FL 32259.
