Melissa Hancock Obituary
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Prevette officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY she was born December 12, 1967 the daughter of the late Danny and Faylean "Faye" Mathews. Melissa had worked in the human resources department at Wal-Mart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Velma Mathews.
Survivors include her husband: Curtis Hancock; her children: Curtis (Jeri Ellen) Hancock II of Hopkinsville, KY, Bracey (Philip) Draude of Portland, TN, and Ryne Hancock of Hopkinsville, KY; her brother: Mike (Connie) Mathews of Hopkinsville, KY; her sister: Amanda (Wayne) Hesson of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Eli, Makenzie, Kelsea, Tripp, Lilah, and Rowdy.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Children's Miracle Network or Alzheimer's Associations.
