Melissa Ann Hnatt (Cole), of College Station, TX passed away peacefully in her home on Friday evening, Sept 8, 2023. She was surrounded by Family and a host of angels as she drew her last breath on Earth. It is by God’s Grace and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that we share in the hope and comforting peace that her spirit will be purified, and she now dwells in paradise in the room that has been prepared for her.
Melissa was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She earned multiple degrees in Legal Studies and Business. She married in 1997 and moved throughout the country as a Navy Wife, receiving multiple honors including designation as a “Yellow Rose of Texas” by the Governor of Texas.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Captain Steven Hnatt, USN (ret), Mother, Carolyn Cole, brothers Brett Cole, Mark Coleman, Uncle Bill & Aunt Pam Fuller, son Kevin, daughter Deiandra, many cousins, nieces,nephews, and her three grandchildren Adriana, Jordan, and Brianna. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents James and Mable Wingo, sister Michelle Cole, Uncle Buddy and Aunt Sandra Gutierrez, Cousins Felicia Anaya and Kayla Hansen, and Nephew Coulter Hnatt.
