My "very best friend in whole entire world." So hard to believe I won't ever be able to say that to you again. You were so happy and excited when we talked just a few weeks before you left us. I remember the very first time we really talked in 8th grade. We bonded over Kathleen E. Woodiwiss novels. Your father gave me a love of great wine and fine cheese in high school. You wrote me letters from under the Eiffel Tower when you studied in Paris. The little one you brought me back all those many years ago still hangs on my rear view mirror. A daily reminder of our deep abiding friendship. We lived together in college. I was there to see you truly fall in love for the first time. We were together through weddings, babies, divorce. You made my life so much more grounded, full and interesting. We were there or one another through the good times and bad. I so wish I could have been there to help you through this bad. I love you, I miss you, I will see again. Our hearts will always be connected.

Lissa was the best. It was so much to go to Washington DC our junior year thru 4-H. It has been a couple of years since I had seen her. You will be missed.
