Melissa LeAnne "Missy" Marlow

Melissa "Missy" LeAnne Marlow, 60, of Sidney passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital surrounded by family on Saturday, January 3, 2026. She was born September 6, 1965, the daughter of Robert W. and the late Janet (Ackerman) Simpson. She grew up in Bellefontaine with siblings Robert M. (Becky) Simpson and Jennifer (Ike Agner) Simpson who both survive.

On October 1, 2005, she married Scott A. Marlow who survives in Sidney. Together they built a life of love and deep bonds. She is also survived by her children, Shawn (Courtnee) Warner and Samantha Marlow; grandchild, Haylie Warner; mother-in-law, Betty Spaugy; brother-in-law, Michael Marlow; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Chuck) Albrecht and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents Nora Ackerman and David Ackerman Sr., paternal grandparents Marvin E. and Maxine Simpson, and many aunts and uncles.

Missy worked at Airstream in Jackson Center, OH. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Philadelphia Eagles and enjoyed watching them throughout the football season. She loved traveling with her husband and daughter to visit family and see new places, most recently getting to visit the Philadelphia Eagles stadium which she considered to be the trip of a lifetime.

Above all, Missy loved spending time with family, including her children. She was so proud of all of their accomplishments and never missed an opportunity to talk about them and share the joy they gave her. Moments surrounded by her family were where she felt her greatest joy. Missy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Hwy 68 S. West Liberty, OH 43357. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.
