Melissa D McLaughlin, 25, of Hurricane departed this life and into the hands of Jesus on March 13,2007 from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was preceded in death by her maternal Grandmother, Emma Jean Ramsey. She is survived by her husband Joseph �Joey� and son Joseph Michael of Hurricane. Also surviving are her best friend and mother, Carol Ramsey of Hurricane, her �Bubby� Mike Ramsey and wife Stephanie , nephew Dylan, nieces Ashlie and Grace Ramsey all of St Albans. She leaves behind many special and dear friends to grieve the loss of this beautiful young lady. She was an employee of Verizon and was on the dean�s list at Mountain State University. �To my Loving wife: Even though this is the worst thing that has every happened to me, I would never give up the time I had with you. It was the happiest I have ever been. You gave me love like no other and I will never forget that. You are the force that drives my life along with the beautiful son that you gave me. I don�t know why the Lord took you like He did, but He will not find a more kind and gentle soul. Please watch over us because we are lost without you. I hope the Lord will let you know how deeply we love you. You cannot be replaced. I Love you Honey. Your Husband, Joey.� Visitation will be Saturday March 17 at Casdorph and Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St.Albans from 11am-1:00pm. Service will immediately follow the visitation with Pastor Mike Ramsey officiating. Burial with a short committal service will be at Cunningham Memorial Park, St.Albans following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Melissa's memory to your local Mothers Against Drunk Driving chapter.

Joey and Jo Jo which I am sure your not called now because you are a big kid by now. I think of Melissa often and what a good person she was. she loved her guys with all her heart. It was all she ever talked about at work! I still miss her to this day. I don't know why God takes the good ones but it always seems to happen that way
