Mellissa Cook

Mellissa Cook, age 58, of Borden, Indiana passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born August 7,1964, she was the daughter of Paul Brewer and Angie Brewer.
She was an LPN for 36 years, 34 years of which she worked under Dr. Nale at Optum American Health.
Mellissa was a proud wife, mother and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters: Jessica Gleason (Christian), Jacie Schafer (Jacob), and Jordan Little (Ethan); one son: Jared Cook (Alyson); two granddaughters: Emry Little and Rocky Schafer, with one on the way, Ripley Suzanne Schafer; two grandsons: Elliot Little and Nash Cook; parents: Paul Brewer and Angie Brewer; two sisters: Mindi Holmes (Jeff) and Amy Brewer; four nephews; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Cook; sister-in-law, Patty Cook; and in-laws, Rudy and Helen Cook.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the First Christian Church of Borden with Bro. Barry Shoemake officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial to follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
