Melody Brewer Haywood, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on December 4, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 10, 1959, in Columbia to the late Raymond “Blackie” Brewer and Betty Joan Brewer.
Melody lived a life rooted in love, family, and service. She adored her daughters beyond measure and took immense pride in the women they became. Her heart was just as soft for her cats, who brought her daily joy, and for the simple pleasure of playing bingo with friends. Melody found deep fulfillment in her work as a Registered Nurse, especially during her years in Home Health, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.
Family traditions meant the world to her, and Christmas Eve was her favorite—filled with laughter, togetherness, and the joy of spoiling her beloved grandson, Jackson. She also shared a special bond with her son-in-law, enjoying many lively political conversations that always ended with mutual respect and a smile.
Melody is survived by her loving daughters, Lindsay (Brad) Hargrove and Jessica Haywood; father of her children: Curtis Ray Haywood; her cherished grandson, Jackson Hargrove; and her special cousins.
Melody will be remembered for her loving spirit, her devotion to her family, and the kindness she showed to all who knew her.
