Melody Nkauj Hnub Lor

 April 9th, 2013 - January 15th, 2024

Melody Lor, at the tender age of 10 years old, has left us to be with the Lord on January 15th, 2024.  She was born on April 9th 2013 in Stanly County, North Carolina to a family who loved her unconditionally and without measure.

Melody was a real-life princess who was beautiful, inside and out. She was a shining light complete with humor, kindness, courage, selflessness, and strength.  She enjoyed reading, drawing, fishing, attending school, and shopping with her “Credit Card” uncle.

Melody was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma (spinal cord tumor) on February 2021. Melody’s fighting spirit and unwavering faith endured throughout all her surgeries, rounds of radiation, chemotherapy and other clinical treatments. In the midst of all her pain and sufferings, she comforted others and even encouraged them to keep their faith in God. She remained faithful despite all her hardships. Melody was a prime example of Job in the Bible and truly an inspiration for everyone! After a strong battle, Melody is finally at rest with God. She will be greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts until we meet again in the presence of God.
