Melody Muse Obituary
Melody was born in Welch, West Virginia on March 6th,1960, the daughter of Gloria E. Jones and Henry M. Moore Sr. Melody was raised in Hampton VA where she attended primary school and graduated from Hampton High School in 1978. Melody relocated to Roanoke VA to care for family where she met and married Darry S. Muse of Roanoke, VA (1984-2001) and from that union welcomed two children whom she loved dearly.
Melody was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, nana, and friend to all. She was a woman of humility who would give her last to ensure one had their necessities met. Melody worked as a healthcare professional for over 30 years further reflecting her selfless ability to nurture and care for others. Melody had a strong faith in God and instilled that in her children and family constantly serving as a pillar of strength and encouragement.
Melody was no stranger to having a good time and it was never uncommon to see her wearing the brightest smile to light up any room she entered even during moments of physical pain. She had a passion for travel, loved music, and most importantly valued spending time with and making memories with her family, friends, and loved ones.
She was proceeded in death by her baby sister Wanda R. Moore-Clark, her father Henry M. Moore Sr., and her mother Gloria E. Jones. Melody leaves to cherish her memories, one sister Juanita Moore of Newport News, VA, two children Alleyse Muse of Hampton, VA, Christopher Muse of Midlothian, VA. Three grandchildren, Dashawn (14), Ava (4), & Aubrey Jr.(4). In addition, she leaves a host of loved ones including nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles along with all her extended and adopted children, grandchildren, friends and coworkers.
Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. up until the Celebration of Life service starting at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Church of Jesus.
