Mr. Melvin Thomas Bellew, age 74 of Bowman, Ga., passed away on February 22. 2025. He was born on October 29, 1950 in Danielsville Georgia. He worked as a logger and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Bellew and Zelma Iola McElroy Bellew.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Susan McCullough of Reed Creek, Ronnie Bellew of Bowman, Tony Bellew of Dewy Rose, Jason Bellew (Briana Fife) of Bowman, his sister, Linda Williams, seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren: Sheryl Parker, Aaron Bellew, Dawn McCullough, Daniel McCullough, Madeline Bellew, Daigon Bellew, Braxton Bellew, Kingsley Carpenter, and June Parker.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to offset funeral expense. Those can be given at the funeral home.
Service entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
