He was a great person and teacher. The only person who could make me understand math.

Mr Dickson was a wonderful individual who treated every one with respect. His quite demeanor was a real asset in the way he handled his students. One of my favorite teachers. R.I.P. teacher, soldier, family man and leader.

Mr. Dickson was a wonderful teacher at Riverview Community High School, we have fond memories of our time with him. Class of 1961.

Mr Dickson: a fine man, scholar and exceptional teacher. The only time I ever grasped mathematics was when he taught me. Rest in Peace brave soldier and may God bless your soul.

We were fortunate to have him as a teacher early in his career at Marlette High School.

I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Being an eariler family friend from the 60s, I not only knew him as a teacher but my friends father. He was a fantastic teacher. I just wish I'd been a better student. I happened to go back for a reunion a number of years ago and saw him walking in the halway. That made my visit all the worthwhile. He meant that much to me. To the entire Dickson Family, may you have a wonderful celebration of his life.

We had the privilege of being their neighbors for 17 years! They were a very active and fun couple. Mel had a dry sense of humor! They went on daily walks and till about a few months ago would take their walks in Briarwood Mall. They loved to sit and people watch. They attended many lectures.
His students adored him. Many came to visit them. Thanks to Mark and the wonderful caregivers they continued to live in their condo on the lake! They appreciated that so much!
He will be missed but had a long fulfilling life!

Mr. Dickson was not only a great teacher but a good role model as a man. It's been many years since I've seen him, but think of him often.

I hope his family knows what a true hero he was to many. I was very fortunate to have him for 3 year-long courses - finally with Calculus with 8 of us.

A warm man, teacher, and American hero. What more could one hope to be?

He was by far the best math teacher I had at Riverview and U of M. I often considered a teaching career and that had a lot to do with his influence. It is with great sdadness I hear of his passing. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Mr. Dickson was a great teacher. We met again at the 50th Class Reunion for the early 60's classes in 2012 and had a chance to chat awhile. He was my math teacher and was truly a caring person. My condolences to his entire family.

Mr. Dickson was a wonderful teacher and a great man. He was my geometry teacher at Riverview High School. I will never forget him.

Mr. Dickson was one of my favorite teachers at Riverview High School in the early 60s. His lessons were clear and fun. He was a calm and good nature teacher and was highly respected by both students and staff.
