Sorr for your lost

For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones. (Hebrews 6:10). This one will never be forgotten for all the work that was done for this community and especially those encouraged and inspired in this persons' care. May God continue to strengthen the family and friends in these times hard to deal with (2 Tim 3:1), especially without a beloved one such as this talented and loved person gone from our lives but not forgotten.

Sixty-five years is a long time to maintain a passion for your work and to share this passion with your soulmate. Sleep peacefully, Mr. Gordon. You have more than earned your rest. (John 11:11-14). May the God of all comfort provide his family and friends with the needed strength and support to endure each day without him. Our heartfelt condolences!

Mr Melvin Gordon, I am 57 years old i never new in my life who invented that Sweet tootsie roll but now i know today, what knowledge. When i was a young girl my brother and i would walk to the small store we lived by all we had was dimes and pennies to spend we would pool our money and WOW we would walk out of that store with a sack Full of 1 cent candies and they were Tootsie rolls we thought we were rich this small sack of candy would last a good week and we would go back again and again. Why? Because that Tootsie Roll would be so chewy and the taste would last for minutes in our mouths. What a memory, now every time I see a Tootsie Roll I will think of you. What a Great Man. You Truly are the definition of do what you love and love what you do. R.I.P My SWEET Man

As a veteran of the Chosin Reservoir campaign in North Korea December 1950,the legacy of Tootsie Rolls in the Korean War was born. Mr and Mr Gordon became part of our family. It is like losing a family member. My condolences to Ellen.

Sorry to learn of the loss of Melvin Gordon. I still enjoy an occasional tootsie roll. He was certainly blessed with a long and by most standards, a successful life. May the Gordon family please accept my sincere condolences and may God's promises at Isaiah 65:20 provide adequate comfort and hope.

I didn't know the man but sounds like he was really nice man and lived a very long life sorry for the family loss

Dear Ellen,
I can only imagine the sense of loss you are feeling over the passing of Melvin, your soulmate of 65 years. He led a long and wonderful life, and he blessed so may of us with the most delicious candy on earth. I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire and Tootsie Rolls, Tootsie Pops, Charleston Chew Bars, and Junior Mints were a treasured part of my childhood, and I still enjoy them just as much today. Whenever I eat one of Melvin's treasures, I will think of him.
My thoughts and my prayers are with you at this sad time.

My favorite lollipop has always been the Tootsie Pop. Like the owl I only made it to three before I take a bite. It is sad when someone who has brought enjoyment to many dies the bible speaks of older ones whom should not be dying at Isaiah 65:20

Thanks for all the years. "There is nothing like a Tootsie". My mom bought them for every holiday. The Tootsie bank has been a favorite gift for her 14 grandchildren. Even the grown-up ones still look for it!!! Prayers and Blessings to the family.
