I was so sorry to hear of Mel´s passing. I worked with Mel for many years at Harlow´s. I always enjoyed his passion of pigeon racing and the box of donuts he would bring in on Monday morning after a win. He was always funny, quick witted, and somewhat acerbic. I visited him a couple times at his pet store but we kind of drifted apart and moved away to North Carolina. I have fond memories and I´m sure he will be missed by friends and family. As long as he is remembered, he will always be there.
