Melvin Jesse Swink

Melvin Jesse Swink, age 68 of Jim Patterson Rd. passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. He was born September 17, 1950 in Cleveland County to the late Frank and Eloise Waldroup Swink. Melvin was truly a jack of all trades and enjoyed working whether it be truck driving, tree work, construction, or demolition, just to name a few. He also enjoyed coin collecting and shooting pool. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Swink; and siblings, Evelyn Roper, Frankie Gibson, Minnie Terry, Beulah Swink, and James "Bud" Swink. Survivors include his children, Laura Barber (Jason Elmore), Melvin Arron Swink (Jaime), and Peggy Swink; brother, Robert Swink; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
