Melvin E. Thompson

Melvin E. Thompson 92, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was a graduate of Cooper Union. Melvin was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the James B. Scarr American Legion Post 106, the V.F.W. Post 4591 both in Hasbrouck Heights and served as a former Trustee for the V.F.W. Post 809 in Little Ferry. Before retiring, he was the Northeast Division Manager for Time Warner in New York City. Beloved husband of Elvine "Ellie" (nee Napp) Thompson. Devoted father of Bruce Thompson and his wife Nadine, Lisa Traina, Monica Colaneri and Rosanne Ippolito and her husband Claudio. Loving grandfather of Peter Traina and his wife Brielle, Stephen Traina and his wife Myladys, Anthony Traina, Andrew Colaneri and his wife Emily, Nicholas Ippolito, Vincent Ippolito and Thomas Ippolito. Cherished great grandfather of Meadow Traina, Artemio Traina and Loretta Colaneri.
Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, September 6th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Entombment following at Garden of Memories, Township of Washington. Visitation Thursday, September 5th from 4 - 7 PM at the funeral home.
