Melvin Eugene Vaughn was born on January 3, 1965, to Jeanette and Velman Vaughn in Kansas City, MO. He attended Kansas City Public Schools, including Greenwood and D.A. Holmes Elementary, followed by Central Junior High and Central High School.
Throughout his life, Melvin worked a variety of jobs, including positions at Mike's Market, Overland Park Jeep Eagle, Embassy Suites on the Plaza, Andre's on the Plaza, and Jimmy D's on Prospect Avenue.
Melvin loved his Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and the Missouri Tigers. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and listening to his music.
Melvin departed this life on February 15, 2026, while listening to his gospel rap music at ABODE Wellness Center in Independence, MO.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday February 26, 2026 at 11 am.
Visitation viewing is scheduled 10am-11am.
