Mercia's life centered on GIVING and LOVING. Within days of my being hired at Sacred Heart Academy eight years ago, Mercia invited me to be her co-advisor for K-Kids. I am so glad she did. It gave me the opportunity to spend seven years working with one of the most generous and positive human beings I have ever met! She was an inspiration to me and to all the children who developed service hearts because of her encouragement. As Mercia's love and service continues to spread via the people she has touched, her legacy lives on!
