On Thursday, August 15, 2024, Jesus came and set his daughter free. Meredith Paige Smith born June 20,1989, Age 35. Born in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Meredith was a light, caregiver, joyful soul, resilient and a determined fisher of men.

Meredith operated in her many God given gifts and talents, but her ultimate gift was given to her by God and that was her son Chanler Brennan Hale. Meredith devoted her heart to God, her son and her career. Always enhancing the lives around her. Demonstrating unwavering faith and commitment to God, her family and loved ones. Her beautiful selfless soul with her passion to help those in need is inspiring and a bold testimony to all those around her.

Meredith was a best friend and a loving mother to her son Chanler Hale, of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Her love for her son was immeasurable, she spent most of her time making sure Chan knew how much she loves him. Also left behind her fiancé Barret Vallery of Cloutierville, Louisiana. She lived by her beloved mama, Lisa Bynog Smith of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and her father, Donald Smith of Flora, Louisiana. Meredith’s testimony will continue to serve its purpose here on Earth through her sister’s. Lauren Smith and fiancé Louis Rachal III of Melrose, Louisiana. Anna Ahrens and husband Coburn Ahrens of Alexandria, Louisiana. Cameron Thomas and husband Austin Thomas of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Along with her nephews and niece, Sutton Thomas, Noah Rachal, Suede Thomas, Shepherd Thomas and Cove Ahrens.

Sharing in her memories is stepfather Ryan Chappuis and sons Mason, Bryce and Luke. Also, her stepmother Gina Atkins Smith and children Micah Riggan, Hannah Llorence and Rachael Trichel along with nieces Willow and Hazel.

Meredith was met at the pearly gates by her maternal grandparents (MoMo) Pearline LaCaze Bynog Wise and pawpaw Lee Roy Bynog. Also, by her paternal grandparents (Bea) Genevieve Verzwyvelt Smith and Thomas K. Smith. Also, by so many more, it was a celebration of life.

Meredith loved having her nanny, Aunt Cathy, in her life.  When she called her name it always seemed like it made her feel special, loved, important, and thought of.  No matter if they agreed or not, she knew her nanny would always be there for her.

Meredith was an inspiration, blessing and a testimony of selflessness. We are in awe and gratitude of our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us our miracle woman of many crowns. Our beloved Meredith Paige Smith.
