Merenda Bennett Obituary
Merenda dedicated her life to serving others through her work in social services and her devotion to family. She loved cooking for her loved ones, spending time with her grandchildren, and creating a warm home filled with love and laughter.
She is survived by her children, Danlaye Bennett and Deon Gallmon Jr.; grandchildren Franklin Negron, Tyler Davis, Jay Shepard, Thor Gallmon, and Kyleigh Thomas; siblings Alfred Bennett, Arther Echols, Chris Echols, Keiona Bennett, Tamara Echols, and Monique Echols; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held October 4, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Kenilworth, with viewing at 1 p.m. and service at 2 p.m.
She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
