Merle Koppenhafer Obituary
Born and raised in Vermilion, Merle graduated from Vermilion High School, received his Bachelor's Degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and MBA from Northwestern University.
Merle was a member of Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church; past member of the Vermilion Port Authority; served on the Vermilion Township Zoning Board and was a retired Regent for Northwestern University. He was a past commodore of the Vermilion Boat Club and served on the board of Trustees of the Elyria Country Club.
He is survived by three daughters, seven grandchildren and his companion Nancy Stark.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Riddle Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
