Merlin Franklin Obituary

Merlin Rhys was born on June 1, 1999, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He died unexpectedly on September 30, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Rhys was the only child of Linda Bessmer and Dr. Carl Franklin. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and students.
Rhys graduated from the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and went on to obtain a degree in Cybersecurity from Lone Star College. He was employed by Tomball ISD, where he made a difference in the lives of many students.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
