Merlin Taylor Obituary
Merlin spent 22 years in the Navy after receiving his draft notice in Vietnam. He spent the majority of his time in the Navy at NAS North Island in San Diego, CA working in the sonar as part of a helicopter crew. After the Navy Merlin drove trucks long haul for many years, the majority of the time working for Dunagan Trucking out of Willcox.
Merlin was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His love for his family and his love for the gospel were the only things that outshone his love for his country. He also enjoyed dad jokes, and music, especially singing in the church choir. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM at Westlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:00 am on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Sunset Cemetery.
