Merriam Rachael Dickason

Merriam Rachael Dickason, 87, of Pine Grove, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Hershey Medical Center. Born on March 1, 1938, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William Nikolaus and Merriam (Fry) Nikolaus. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Lincoln Dickason, III.

A proud graduate of St Joseph's Academy, Merriam built a career in retail, where she worked diligently and rose to the position of manager before retiring. In retirement, Merriam enjoyed life's simple pleasures-taking trips to the casino, sharing laughter with friends, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment with them.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend-someone whose warmth, strength, and love will live on through the many lives she touched.

She leaves behind her children, Charles Dickason, IV of Pine Grove,PA, William Dickason of Washington Boro, PA, Merriam Schauer of Elizabethtown, PA, Sandra Hawkins of Red Lion, PA, Shelley Dickason of Harrisburg, PA, Dorothy Vucenic of Oakdale, CA, ande Melissa Dickason of Pine Grove, PA; her sister, Patricia; her brother, Joseph; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Ann Dickason.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
