Merriam (Micki) Evelyn Johnson, 80, departed this life on Wednesday, 19 November 2025. She was a very proud retired Navy Senior Chief, Faculty Coordinator / Professor with Nova Southeastern University, and Mentor for the Titusville's U.S. Small Business Administration SCORE program who dedicated her life to the passion of teaching and learning.

She was the daughter of Jack Allen James and Grace Chew – James of Albuquerque, New Mexico and is survived by her dearly loved brother Michael James of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has joined her departed parents, and brothers Jack James, Charlie James, and Bobby James. She is reunited with her departed daughter Robin Smith and son Wayne Johnson, who is survived by children Zach and Cara Johnson.

Micki is survived by two daughters and her grandchildren. Her daughter Ronda Kunz and beloved husband Douglas Kunz of Titusville, FL and their children Sarah Blevins with husband Robert (Cody) Blevins, and two sons – Andrew Keskes with wife Haley Keskes and Zane Kunz with wife Bailey Kunz. Her daughter Renee Worley and treasured husband Joe Worley Sr. of Lexington, SC and their children Joe Worley Jr and Alexandra (Allie) Jones with husband Matthew (James) Jones.

Micki's legacy is her many great grandchildren; Carlie & Ellie Keskes, Zoey & Hannah Blevins, and the Kunz boys – Connor, Noah, & Heston. And Georgie – the RES family turtle!!

In accordance with her wishes, Micki will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in New Mexico in the beginning of the year 2026 where her family who served our proud nation are resting. We will share the details once known. We will hold a celebration of life in Florida in January 2026 and will share the details once determined.

If considering a gift, we ask you to consider sending a live plant as Micki was a master gardener with Brevard County and we can plant the gift in her honor. Or give a donation to the SPCA as she was also enthusiastic about her pets. The family is grateful for the assistance of the Island Cremations & Funeral Home, Merritt Island in this time of need.
