Mrs. Merry Byram

Merry Lee Byram, 54, of Paris, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at her home following a short, yet courageous, battle with cancer. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her loving family & many friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. A private family graveside memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Merry, the daughter of S. V. & Mildred Gregory Biggs, was born September 5, 1957 in Bonham. She attended school at North Lamar Schools. Her career included being a waitress at the Loop Truck Stop, owning & operating a pet grooming business, Merry Lee's Dog Grooming, and then working for the U. S. Postal Service, first being a rural letter carrier at the Arthur City Post Office, then working at the mail processing facility in Greenville, Texas where she served as union steward, and her last position with the postal service was at the mail processing facility in McAlister, Oklahoma where her last day at work was June 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Derrell Wayne Byram, Sr. Survivors include her son, Derrell Wayne Byram, Jr. & wife Dani, grandson, Christopher Wayne Byram, daughter, Audra Lee Bacon, granddaughters, Melissa Marie Westbrook and Natalie Nicole Gandy all of the home, extended family members, Bruce Bacon, Cleo Bacon, Julie Green, Becky Hamaker and Dustin Bacon & wife Sara, siblings, Helen McCartney of Elmore City, OK, Shirley Warrington of Healdton, OK, Stanley Biggs, Jr. of Paris, Barbara McCartney & husband Anthony of Loco, OK, Leona Womack of Bonham, Mildred Prunty & husband Jerry of Paris and Bryan Biggs of Killeen along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
