My sweet Mer mer was a beacon of patience and kindness in my life. Her loving nature and gentle guidance made every challenge feel surmountable. She had a unique ability to lead with grace and warmth, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. I will always cherish the beautiful memories we shared.

Her patience was endless, and her kindness knew no bounds. She had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved, and her smooth leadership always brought out the best in those around her. My hero, my role model. Sleep on my beautiful mother. So many people came by and called to check in on you. That alone showed me how much you were respected and cherish.

My brothers and I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their outpouring of love, prayers, and kind messages during this very difficult time of my mom´s passing. Your words of comfort and encouragement have truly touched our hearts and given us strength. My mom will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her caring and loving heart, and the way she touched so many lives. It means so much to know that we are surrounded by such thoughtful and supportive family and friends.

Although we did not see each other very often, you were also close in my heart.
Knowing you were somewhere reading your bible, planting flowers or telling stories meant the world was a brighter place; better with you here than with you gone.
Your last words to me were in a WhatsApp voice message when you told me 'God loves you and so do I'.
I will imagine you dancing, swaying to the beat, and smiling.
Rest well. God loves you Auntie Mer and so do I.

Auntie Mer. U were a blessing to everyone. Ur presence always lighten up a room with ur smile. Kent and I had the pleasure to see u in Jamaica in 2022. Ever time u would call and text u would say give my to Bob Marley because he bought a Bob Marley souvenir hat. I truly miss u. No more pain. Heaven has gained an angel.

Our deepest condolences to Elder, Sis. Rodgers and the entire family on the passing of your mom, mother-in-law, grandma, great grandma, perhaps great, great grandma, friend, sister, etc., and our dear Sister Nembhard. Our hearts are saddened at her loss!

Please take courage and comfort from the Words of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as found in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, stated above! I stopped there, but the text continued.

Praise the Lord! You shall be reunited with your mom, Elder Rodgers, never to part again; for there shall be no more crying, sorrow, pain, nor dying in the new Earth, as found in Holy Scripture!

What a day of rejoicing that will be!
