Micah Young Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 17, 2026.
In Loving Memory

Micah John Young

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, Micah John Young was unexpectedly called Home to the Lord on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on March 16, 1986, in Hualien, Taiwan, Micah's life was a blessing from the very beginning; a special act of grace, when he was adopted into a loving family, a path that shaped the caring and devoted man he became.

Micah was the beloved husband and best friend of Kellie (née Grissmeyer) for nine treasured years and a deeply proud, loving daddy to Jameson and Baylee Young, who were truly the heart of his world. He was the devoted son of Robert and Marcia (née Hoelter) and a wonderful son-in-law of Mike and Ann Harrington. A fun-loving brother-in-law to Alex Grissmeyer, Kevin Harrington, and Nick Harrington, Micah will also be lovingly remembered by extended family, dear friends, and all whose lives were brightened by his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.

Micah attended High School at Grace Christian Academy in West Allis and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. He built a respected career with PepsiCo as a Sales Representative, where his strong work ethic, easygoing personality, and ability to connect with people earned both trust and lasting friendships.

A dedicated provider and protector, Micah lived his life making sure those he loved were cared for first. His kindness, selflessness, and steady presence made others feel safe, supported, and deeply valued. He gave freely of himself without seeking recognition, simply because loving and caring for others came naturally to him.

He was naturally social - a talker, a storyteller, and someone who could strike up a conversation anywhere. His quick wit, playful sarcasm, and wonderful sense of humor brought laughter to everyday moments and comfort even during difficult times.

Family time was what Micah treasured most. Some of the happiest memories were family trips to the Wilderness in the Wisconsin Dells, where wave pools, water slides, and shared laughter created moments that will now be cherished forever. He loved simply being present with his children - talking, laughing, and making memories that meant everything to him.

Micah also showed his love through cooking, especially his famous stir-frys, which became a favorite tradition at home. For him, preparing meals wasn't just about food - it was about togetherness, conversation, and taking care of his loved ones.

Above all, Micah will be remembered for his big heart, his deep love for his family, and the quiet way he made life better for the people around him. He will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 20851 W. Main St., Lannon, from 10:00–11:45 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.

Interment will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery, Lannon.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions in Micah's memory to support his children - a reflection of the deep love and dedication he always showed them.

Earlier today

My deepest sympathies to Micah's family during this difficult time. In the past, Micah and I worked together a lot at Pepsi and there was never a dull moment with us talking about anything and everything and making our workday fly by.

He also supported the fire department I served on and always wanted to know when fundraisers were coming up so he could attend contribute to our mission. That speaks to his willingness and desire to help out!

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten!
