Michael Aidan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Passalacqua Funeral Chapel on Jan. 28, 2026.
Michael Aidan, born February 8, 1952, in Carlisle, England, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at his home in Benicia, California.

Michael devoted more than 50 years of his professional life as a labor negotiator with the local engineering union, where he was widely respected for his integrity, determination, and unwavering commitment to working people. His career reflected his lifelong passion for fairness, advocacy, and public service.

A proud graduate of Drexel University, Michael earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees there, building a strong foundation for a career that blended intellect, compassion, and practical leadership.

Michael had a deep and abiding passion for politics, both in the United States and in his native England. He was a devoted supporter of the British Labour Party and followed political affairs closely throughout his life. His love of sports was equally strong-he was an enthusiastic coach and lifelong supporter of Norwich City Football Club, along with many other sports.

Beyond politics and sports, Michael was a true lover of the arts. He was a fan of all forms of performing arts and especially loved music and live concerts, finding joy and inspiration in cultural experiences. A world traveler, he delighted in exploring new places and connecting with people and cultures across the globe.

Above all else, Michael cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

Michael is survived by his son, Alex, and his wife, Erica; his sister, Angela Craft, and her husband, Graham Hutchinson; and his beloved grandchildren, Flynn and Imogen.

Services will be held at a later date.

Michael will be remembered for his passionate spirit, sharp mind, generous heart, and lifelong dedication to causes and people he believed in. He leaves behind a legacy of advocacy, culture, and deep love for family that will endure for generations.
