Michael Dustin "Dusty" Amburgey born July 25, 2001 departed this life on July 18, 2025 at the University Health Hospital in Kansas City, MO being 23-years old. Dusty was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Franklin Newberry and Jacqueline Ritchie Malone. Dusty loved the outdoors, always wanting to be outside and enjoying life. Dusty was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lewis Carmack; maternal grandparents, Ronald Ritchie & Karen Deppish; paternal grandparents, Curt Campbell & Goldie; bonus papaw, Howard Woolum.

Michael Dustin "Dusty" Amburgey leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: father, Frank Newberry & Tabitha of Hazard; mother, Jackie Malone of Florida; paternal grandmother, Peggy Woolum of Hazard; brothers, Preston Joseph & Kassidy of Viper, Marshall Newberry of Hazard, and Layne Newberry of Hazard; sisters, Leah Newberry & Chris of Hazard, Kurstin Newberry of Buchanan, Michigan and Krista Newberry of Buchanan, Michigan; aunt, Regina Padilla; uncles, John Ritchie and Danie Ritchie; bonus mom, Kara Kolenda; bonus grandmother, Susie Bell; bonus uncles, Jeff, David, Josh, Tim and Brian; also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation for Dusty Amburgey will be held on Saturday – July 26, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Josh Hall officiating. The Interment will follow in the Combs Family Cemetery located at Gregory Branch in Christopher, Kentucky.
