Michael Anderson Obituary

Michael James Anderson
07/29/1981 - 04/21/2023

With great power comes great responsibility. One of Michael's favorite comic super heroes was Spider-Man.
Mike had chosen to be a superhero when he passed by donating his organs, skin, bones, veins, almost everything to potential recipients, research universities, medical classes, etc.
We could write many good, bad, indifferent things about him, but one of the strongest memories we will hold to our hearts is his selflessness in donating his body to save and improve lives by being a registered donor on his state ID and having it noted in his medical files.
We are devastated that Michael has lost his battle with alcohol addiction, but also encouraged that he has chosen his ending to be a true blessing to hopefully many people in many ways. He made a "greatly" responsible decision that we are happy to be able to honor and uphold with the assistance of the Gift of Life Foundation.
Please keep our family in your thoughts in this difficult time, and if you are so inclined to also include him and us in prayers, and wish with us that the doctors are able to use his gift of being a donor to the fullest extent possible. Although Mike made loving him a challenge at times, he was loved deeply by family and friends.
Goodbye Michael, we will always love you.
Michael was preceded in death by grandparents: Jim and Fran Page, Ken and Carol Anderson, survived by parents: Mark and Mary Anderson, brother: Matt (Christa) Anderson and nieces and nephews: Perrin, Olivia, and Eisen.
Viewing and visitation will be held May 2nd from 5-6pm at Together Church at 28th and Clyde Park. Funeral services will be held at 6pm. A celebration of life gathering will be held at 6:30pm which will include a casual dinner. Everyone that knew Mike is welcome to attend all functions, we would love to have you join us.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Guiding Light at guidinglightworks.org.
