It's 7/13/23 and I'm sitting on a bench in a memorial gazebo near the Crane Park ponds in Monroe, NY. Michael's name is listed as one of the beautiful souls lost on that horrible Tuesday morning. I had to look up his name and read his story. My condolences to Jeremy, Rachel, Dana and the rest of Michael's family. We shall never forget.

Thank you all for your beautiful tributes to Michael and for your expressions of sympathy.
While standing on 5th Ave at Rockefeller Plaza, my husband Stuart, Michael's brother and only sibling, watched WTC1 fall knowing Michael was there. It was a very traumatic experience and will forever be a horrible memory. Michael also left his elderly mother, Ethel, who was suffering from Alzheimer's. Ethel never knew she lost her son. It was quit a difficult time for Stu.
This is the first time I found this site. I have been trying to respond to all those who wrote on Michael's memorials. Sorry for the delay.
Sincerely, Marlene Asher, sister-in-law of Michael Asher

Dana and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you today. I heard Mike's name said today and i couldn't believe he's actually gone.. I always remember what a nice person he was and how funny he could be when he dropped off the cars to get fixed at Hans's. And my heart goes out to you and your family..but i know he's still keeping an eye on you..that's just the type of person he was.

Dear Family and Friends of Michael Asher,
I, like others, have worn a Mercy B.A.N.D. bearing the name of Michael Asher since shortly after the tragedy of September 11. As we approach the one year mark of that tragedy, I found myself wanting to put a face to the name I bear....wondering about the family and friends of this person. I hope that in some way my prayers and those of so many others have been felt and that it brings some measure of comfort to know that so many people care.
May God Bless You and Keep You In His Care,
Judith

Dear Asher Family,
I just received your husband's name on my MERCY BAND today. I will wear it share it with many people and encourage them to pray for your family and others who lost loved ones. I printed out your husband's picture so I can put it up on the refrigerator to remind me constantly of the victims of this tragedy. I pray the Lord's love will encompass your family to no end. It's a privilege and an honor to pray for your family.
Very Sincerely,
Michele Moseley & family

We are very sorry for your loss of Michael. May his life and love live on in you. May your sorrow of today be lightened by warm memories of times together. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

To the Asher Family;
I recently received a Mercy BAND (like the old POW bands) with your father's name on it. This band comes with the promise to pray daily for your family and for the memory of your dad.
I promise you that I will pray daily for your dad in heaven and for your family here on earth. I am sure that God was there on Sept. 11th, and that those who died did not suffer unduly.
If you wish to contact me directly, please feel free to email me.
I know this holiday season will be very difficult for you, and I can only hope and pray that you will see the hand of God at work in your lives and that He will ease your sorrow.
May God Bless you.
Jennifer

I've the same last name, though I doubt we're related. I also have a son and daughter, 20 and 18 respectively. In fact, I'm just about the same age as Michael. I wish only the best to this family who have lost so much.
