Michael Attaway Obituary
Funeral service for Michael Warren Attaway, age 64 of Winnsboro, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro Malcom Ellis and Rev Lavelle Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery with Ronnie Stapleton, Mike Simpson, Dwayne Attaway, Byron George, Marin Tomulet, Allan Hague, Murphy Howle, Shannon Davis, Roger Gaby and Nub Brown serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Attaway passed away on August 7, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances – Winnsboro.
Michael was born on February 18, 1958 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Warren and Juanita (Swatsell) Attaway. He married Pegi Cromer on January 27, 1984 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Michael was the owner of Attaway Insurance Agency. He attended Lake Fork Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pegi; sons, Michael Lynn Attaway and Jonathan Attaway and wife, Kelsie; daughter, Jennifer Collins and husband, Scotty; grandchildren, Bear Attaway and Emerson Attaway; mother, Juanita; sister, Beverly Page and husband, Robert; brother Wesley Attaway and wife Christy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Warren.
Donations may be made to Day Spring Campground Ministries at 5882 Rogers Hill Road West, TX 76691.
