Michael August Jr., born on September 5, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Corydon, Indiana. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him and his dedication both professionally and personally.
Michael crafted a fulfilling career as an aircraft mechanic for UPS, where he spent a lifetime honing his skills and making significant contributions to the aviation industry. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends, and he took pride in the relationships he built throughout his life.
A graduate of Sewickley High School in Herminie, Pennsylvania, Michael cherished his formative years. He was known for his love of the outdoors, enjoying fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, and restoring classic cars. These passions were often a backdrop for family gatherings, where he relished every moment spent with loved ones.
Michael is survived by his brother, Andrew August; grandsons, Darius Wooldrigde and Adian Albertson; brothers-in-law, Stewart Faris and Rickey Faris; sisters-in-law, Cindy Faris and Ramona Faris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will fondly remember him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marita August; his parents, Michael Sr. and Jacqueline August; and his siblings, whose memories will also be honored.
