MICHAEL JOE AVALOS SR.

Michael Joe Avalos Sr., a dedicated and compassionate respiratory therapist, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Globe, Arizona, at the age of 60. Born on May 31, 1965, in Miami, Arizona, he spent his life helping to save and preserve lives throughout his medical career, working tirelessly as a contract Respiratory Therapist across Northern Arizona and New Mexico.

Michael was not only committed to his profession but was also a passionate individual with a zest for life. In his youth, he was very athletic and excelled in various sports, showcasing a natural talent in everything he tried. He found great joy in hunting, fishing, and playing ball with his sons, Michael Jr. and Daniel. Camping trips with his grandpa and family created cherished memories that he carried throughout his life. He especially loved watching his sons compete in sports, with baseball holding a special place in his heart.

Michael is survived by his father, Miguel G. Avalos, and his two beloved sons, Michael Jr. and Daniel Avalos. He also leaves behind his siblings—David, Andrew, and Renee Avalos—who will always remember him for his kindness and the joy he brought into their lives.

Michael is proceeded in death by his mother Susanna Felix-Avalos. 

His legacy of compassion and dedication in both his career and family life will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we celebrate the life of Michael Joe Avalos Sr., we remember a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and gave tirelessly to those around him.
