Michael Barger

Michael Barger, age 66, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2026. He was born in Hyden, KY on February 22, 1959 the son of the late Sheldon and Pauline (Barger) Morgan. Michael was a true motorhead at heart, known for his deep love of old Chevys and anything with an engine that needed fixing. A skilled mechanic, he had a natural talent for understanding how things worked and took great pride in bringing vehicles back to life. For 10 years, he owned and operated his own towing business in the Hillsboro area. Michael is survived by his sons, Joshua Allen Barger of West Union and John Michael Barger; brother, Charles Richard Morgan; and granddaughter, Zoey Jo Barger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Barger and Gregory Morgan. Michael will be cremated and burial will take place at Medway Cemetery at a later date. The family has asked that any donations be made to Turner & Son Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
