Michael Barleycorn

Michael and I were classmates at Bishop Hartley and I remember him being so nice with a sweet smile! I've lived out of town for many years, but I remember being in Columbus for a family visit and I came down with the flu. My sister in law took me to her Doctor's office - and Mike was working as a PA in the office! We knew each other right away, and it was good to see him. It has just been in the last few weeks, that I learned he had passed away. Remembering his family in my prayers...RIP Michael!! Gina Zucchero Stamper

Mike was in my first class at Bishop Hartley H.S. Even as a freshman, his sense of humor and friendliness made him a successful member of a diverse freshman class. His kindness was especially evident one day in our English classroom when a fellow student suddenly became very ill and lay writhing on the floor. It was Mike who knelt near him and assured him that help was on the way - such maturity at a moment when most of the students were at a loss and their teacher was trying to respond as quickly as possible. Such a display of maturity on Mike's part reviewed his long career in the medical field. What a privilege to have known him and hopefully contributed a bit to his Good Samaritan mentality.

I worked with Mike many years ago at Cleveland Ave Medical Center and he was the nicest guy ever! Always happy and smiling and was great with the patients. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for healing during this most difficult time.
