Michael Thomas Barrett

Michael was a wonderful man. Funny, articulate, a gifted anesthetist, a loyal friend, a loving man and wonderful family man. He will always be loved by my family and missed so much. My condolences to Jennifer and her family.

So many memories of Mikey on call back, in the middle of the night..."Why me???" As we all wondered why we had to do a hip at midnight! His love of his profession, his patients and his crew was ever present. His joke telling kept us laughing when the work was somber. I pulled a few good ones on him...my favorite was when he walked through the double doors on call back and I had added about 10 "fake" cases on the white board....I´m sure he got me back!
Cheers to a life well lived, Mikey. The world won´t be quite as lovely without you

Quick with a joke (even if it was corny), always wanting to talk about something, wishing to be a better guitar player than he actually was, a most excellent gas passer, the only ski jumper that I have ever known, and no more loyal of a friend in this world.
