I first met Mike on June 29, 1964 when we both reported for work at the Naval Oceanographic Office in Suitland Maryland. We were both told we would be working at the Washington Navy Yard in the Instrumentation Department. We became close friends when he wrecked his chevy and I agreed to drive him to NJ to visit his girl friend while I visited my girl friend in NY. Our girl friends became wifes and we began a close friendship. We worked together in one form or another until I retired in 1997. A great guy, I will always remember him!

First met Mike my first day at the Naval Oceanographic Office in 1965. Great friend. Our group got moved into NOAA when it was formed. After a couple decades working together Mike moved to another close division. We had season tickets close to each other at DC United games. Lost touch when Covid hit. Best to his family

I knew Mike for 50 years when I first started working with him at NOIC at the Navy Yard. He was always a caring person. When I was taking classes he could always explain my science problems to me. He was highly intelligent but also very down to earth. So many years and memories. He will be sorely missed.
