Michael Beckingham Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 30, 2025.
Michael O'Neal Beckingham, 74, has passed in the comfort of home, surrounded by family Friday September 26, 2025 after a 5 year battle with ALS.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Springfield, New York and has spent the last year residing in York, Pennsylvania with his wife, Ruth Lilienthal Beckingham, her twin sister and husband.

He is survived by his sons, Nathaniel, his wife Jasmine, Bryan, his wife Jenn, stepson Christopher and his wife Carli. He was a devoted papa to his nine grandchildren as well as his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his sons, he is also survived by his parents, Ted and Barbara Beckingham of Cullman, Alabama, as well as his brother and sisters along with their spouses.

Michael was preceded in death by his younger brother, Timothy Beckingham.

Michael was a hard worker all his life. He worked on his parent's dairy farm in New York. He also held many professional driving jobs, retiring as an engineer for the New York Susquehanna and Weston Railway. Even after retirement, he continued working for The Grand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Ilion, NY.

He had a personality like no other. Always brought humor and light to everyone around him. There was always a joke to be had, endless laughter and all love.

There will be no services held at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held at his home in New York for family and friends at a later date.
