Luyben Dilday Mortuary - Long BeachMichael Keith Bergstrom, born on October 19, 1964, in Fullerton, California, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Orange, California. He was raised in Fullerton and displayed a remarkable talent for sports throughout his childhood, excelling in basketball, baseball, and football. Michael was known for his competitive spirit, which earned him recognition during his high school years, and he carried this drive to succeed throughout his life.
A lover of the outdoors, he cherished moments spent riding his quad in the Glamis dunes, fishing in the Sierra mountains, and boating on the river. After graduating from high school, Mike joined the Drywall Union, dedicating nearly 40 years of his life to the construction industry.
In 1987, he met Denise, the love of his life, and they were married in 1989. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with shared adventures and joy. In 2005, they welcomed twin daughters, Hayley and Sydney, who brought immense happiness to their lives. The family spent countless hours on the water in Parker, where they made lasting memories jet skiing and boating together.
In a testament to his commitment to family values, Mike embraced his faith by converting to Catholicism, wanting to participate in mass and set a positive spiritual example for his daughters. As a devoted husband and father, his love for Denise, Hayley, and Sydney was profound and immeasurable. He took great pride in every accomplishment of his daughters, especially as they began their athletic pursuits. Michael was actively involved in their lives, shuttling them to sports practices and events, beginning with competitive water polo—where their team clinched a bronze medal in the Junior Olympics—and later transitioning to crew. His support and encouragement remained unwavering, accompanying them on college visits and beaming with pride as both Hayley and Sydney received athletic scholarships to the University of Oklahoma.
Michael Keith Bergstrom leaves behind a legacy that embodies love, dedication, and pride. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Bergstrom, and his cherished daughters, Hayley and Sydney Bergstrom.
Services honoring Michael will be held on December 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Church in Long Beach, California, starting at 10:30 AM, followed by a reception. Michael's remarkable spirit will be missed dearly, as each day without him leaves an irreplaceable void.
