mike - You are missed.

When it was decided to open a St. Vincent de Paul conference at Nativity of Our Lord in Broomfield and volunteers were asked to indicate how they would like to be a part of this ministry, Mike wrote "I will be a support to other volunteers." Haha, Mike was my right hand man through the inception, assisting with the manual, training, etc. For a very long time, there were just three of us doing all the visits and sometimes he hung in there for hours. Mike was one of the kindest gentle men I have ever had the honor of working with and knowing. I have retrieved many of his emails about our work so that I can look back on them and smile. He always finished with a line that made me laugh out loud.

There is a big empty space in our hearts and Mike is missed, not only by his SVdP family, but the Nativity parishioners who saw his smiling face at daily Mass. We love you Mike and know you are in peace and smiling down on us!

I worked with "Mr Biety" at Ensslin & Hall and Peak|Biety. Mike was such a lovely man, always a smile on his face and that gentle, kind manner. His wife was a delight too, they made a great pair, so very caring of each other, their children and their work family. I will miss Mike, his compassion and kindness, in the ad world he was always the consummate professional and gentleman, and that's saying a lot.

In 1985, the Honor Network was a new company that needed an
Ad Agency. We turned to Peak Biety in Tampa. We had a new CEO (me) and a very young and inexperienced marketing director. We also had a lot of ideas, most of which were not very good. Mike with his patience, professionalism and sense of humor got us on the right track and kept us there. Along the way we had a great time with lots of laughs. In one meeting I remember that I had the Idea of using the moose from the TV show Northern Exposure in a add. I had all kinds of reasons why it would work. Mike and Glen knew better.
I think the thing that killed it was Mikes concern: " What if the moose died in the middle of our campaign"? We laughed over that one for days. There were many great memories.
Rest In Peace Mike! The Lord got a good man.

It has been said that " On the road of Life, there are drivers and there are Passengers" Mike Biety was the driver who knew how to reach for the talent from all his coworkers and not only give his best but get their best. The result was great advertising. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a client as well become a team member on the Pepin Heart Hospital launch. Our Cuban restaurant lunches allowed me to experience the philosophy of a great thinker as well as a man who could create success. My prayers are with you Mike.

....I forgot one thing....as is my custom....Mike had a deep, subtle, almost British sense of humor that I truly enjoyed and was enriched by....My favorite....we represented a big car dealership in Tampa, Fl...one day Mike, Joe P. and I were talking, actually heatedly discussing what was the best car made. Sometime in middle Mike looked at me and softly said, "Jim, the best car on the road is a paid-off car that starts in the morning." I still use that line.

Mike, you were a great inspiration for me, great help to me, and one of the kindest people I have ever met. The agency is in debt to you in large part. You are truly missed, truly a saint, and truly part of my heart....your all time friend, Jimi Barr

We had such monumental success working together. Mike,Glenn and the entire team made me a "hero". The Lykes characters scored big time. I have wonderful memories of our time working together. We send our condolences to the family and wishing you much joy in the wonderful memories you all have of Mike.

I was one of the many fortunate people to have gotten to be in some small way acquainted with Mike. He was such a kind and generous soul. He will always be missed and in some small way there will be a void in the world that we all will need to fill with the memory of him and by living his example.

I would like for Mike's children to know that he was so much more more than an extraordinary boss, he was a wise confidante and true friend.
Though the years passed quickly, it never occurred to me that there would be a day that I couldn't pick up the phone and talk or email him. I will miss the annoying way he used to kneel by my desk.. while tapping the top of his head with a pencil as we untangled any obstacles of each work day..perhaps that is why he had knee problems later on. I chuckle when remembering the fidgety way he finger combed through his hair while laughing....as though it was ever messed up.
Your father accepted and offered God's grace each and every day without effort.
The advertising industry has lost one of it's very best.
Mike, you often promised that "whatever life brings, it will always be better than a sharp stick in the eye!"
I know Marianne is loving having you with her again...but your passing will always hurt like a sharp stick in the eye!

I am saddened and heart broken to hear the news of the Mighty Great Mike Biety! A nicer and more genuine man you will never find. Mike and Glenn were the first 2 people that helped me enter the advertising business and gave me my big break. Mike was always a great and uplifting mentor and role model. Most recently Mike had been a great asset in helping me find resources for my mom's health problems. Mike was a one of a kind true gentleman. They don't make 'em like Mike anymore. He will be missed. I am happy to say that I was fortunate and blessed to have met such an amazing and caring person like Mike Biety! Mike was a 1 of a kind champion!

I will never forget Mike Biety. I worked with him at Peak Biety as Production Manager until I retired 12 years ago.
There were so many qualities about Mike that made him wonderful to work for. One of those was his sense of humor. For example: one day when something unexpected and unpleasant occurred, Mike exclaimed to those of us nearby, who were equally frustrated at the news, "OH ROPE!"
He loved his wonderful family, and enjoyed sharing news of them, as well as taking a sincere interest in us, and our families and hobbies. My deepest sympathy to Mike's family. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Always the call consumate gentleman and low key but wise beyond his years ad man, he epitomized what we would all aspire to be. Mike will always be remembered as a mans man. We will miss you.

My condolences to Mikes family. What a loss of a great man! Mike was reasonable in a maddening world. Mike will be missed by all.

When Mike would call, there ultimately would be a direct mail question, but always conversation first. How was this or that or what did you think of this thing that happened, kind of questions. He always remembered everything! So sweet, kind, caring, and compassionate. I've thought of him often over the years wondering how he was doing. Praying for peace for his family.

So many lunches at the local Cuban cafeteria & so many conversations & laughs. Knowing Mike as a gentleman competitor & having him as a friend was unexplainable. You'll be missed. Rick

Mike was unfailingly kind, patient and a great advisor. Both he and Glen were my friends and advisors and I admired him for his generosity of spirit and action. I will pray for him and you, although I think he's already in heaven praying for us.

After I joined PeakBiety in 2005, I only had the opportunity to work with Mike for a short time before he retired. His mild and calm demeanor was refreshing in a business often characterized as hectic. I remember Mike's keen sense of humor and was impressed by his interest in and ability to remember details about people's personal lives. He really cared about those he knew. I feel fortunate to have known Mike.

When a loved one dies, it brings grief and pain. And this sorrow can be difficult to deal with. Comfort is always needed and appreciated. The following words brought me comfort. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. I hope these words will help you as we look forward to the day when they will come to pass. You have my deepest sympathies and my prayers are with you.

Only having known Mike in the last 4 year, he is a gift to my life. He offered knowledge, wit and relationship with love. I will forever hold him in my heart

Mike was a true gentleman, perhaps from a by-gone era. And he left the world a little bit better than he found it.

Undoubtedly one of the finest and nicest men I've ever met. He was a joy to work with for many years and a friend who taught me how to relax and enjoy life. I have lost one of my best mentors. He will be sorely missed in my heart.

Without question, Mike was one of the nicest and most incredible human beings I have ever met. He was always willing to go out of his way for otherswhether that meant stopping at a local charity on the way to a business function, or taking the time and initiative to personally help a friend in need. His presence is irreplaceable. My condolences to all those who knew and loved him.

One of the nicest people I ever knew in marketing. That word is going to be used a lot, but Mike's ability to be the calm in any storm put a special value on his contributions.

In a business full of "excitable people", Mike was a gentle soul who spent a lot of time smiling -- generating quite a few in return. That simple, automatic reaction worked equally well inside and outside the agency.

He will be missed by all of us who had a chance to be touched by this good man's special warmth.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to find an obituary in my Sunday paper reporting the passing of Mike Biety.
There simply was not a nicer, better human being on this earth than Mike Biety. As a long-time business partner, I had immense respect for his integrity in all his business and personal actions. Without Mike Biety, our ad firm would not have been possible....or lasted. There is no doubt in my mind that there is a special place in heaven for Mike Biety. May God rest his soul and bring comfort to the family of which he was so proud.

I am so sad the learn of the loss of a wonderful friend and true gentleman. I met Mike in 1987 when we moved into Carrollwood Village across the street from Mike. Mike and Marianne were wonderful and helpful neighbors. When he saw us on the roof shortly after we moved in, trying to clean our dryer vent, he came over with his youngest son to help.

Mike and Glen became wonderful partners at their firm while I was at Moffitt Cancer Center. A wonderful collaboration and the first bold and memorable advertising campaign for Moffitt.

Oh, and then there was the dog walking! Mike took a liking to my Irish Wolfhound Michael and every Saturday he would come over to get Michael along with Birtie and Bray. It was the highlight of Michael's week and one more way that Mike demonstrated true friendship.

I remember saying goodbye to Mike when I left my home in Carrolwood in June of 2005. He came over to help me place my
dogs in the transport van. He was always so kind and caring.

The world has lost a wonderful talented and caring man. I hope that he is now reunited with Marianne. To Mike and Marianne's children, please know what an impact he had on so many people. He was a gift in my life.

Our sincerest condolences to the Biety family. We are so fortunate to have known Mike since first meeting him in Milwaukee many years ago. Mike always wanted to help. May he rest in peace.
