Michael R. Bishop, 72 took his final breath on earth and his first breath in Heaven on

October 26,2025. Mike as he was called by many was born on February 24, 1953 to Bill and Dot

Bishop in Oklahoma City. To know Mike was to love him, He could be incredibly stubborn,

impossible to win an argument against, or pull one over on him. So, if you were lucky enough to

be loved by him you had better have cherished it. He had an incredible sense of humor, usually

at your expense and an ornery streak a mile wide. His last laugh at our expense came after he

had left us when while finalizing his funeral arrangements we had to carry out his final request to

be buried in a Folgers coffee can. So you can imagine the 'these people are crazy' looks we

received. Yah, Yah, Yah you got us Mikey! There is no way to convey in this limited space how

wonderful Mike was or how much he will be missed. He will be remembered in the stories that,

bring us laughter, the memories that comfort our tears and the overwhelming love we hold in our

hearts. If he could leave us with anything it would be to laugh instead of cry, take the trip you

keep putting off and if you ever find yourself at the casino to play a round of poker for him.

We will see you again, this is not where it ends. We will carry you with us, 'Til we see you again.

Mike was preceded in death by his Father Bill. He is survived by his mother Dot, one brother,

Donnie and his wife Gayla. Nieces Kristie Coffey and husband Jay, their children Jaycob and

Joseph. Stacy Ormiston and her husband Jeff, their children Brylynn and Braxton. Nephew,

Brian Bishop and his wife Angie, their children Graci, Tripp and Millie, Cousins Kenny, Sheila,

Gloria and Pam.
