Michael Edward "Mike" Blank, age 76, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 19, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Charles Edward and Hazel Drucilla (Brubaker) Blank. On June 10, 1968 in Edinburg, Texas he was united in marriage to Sandra "Sandy" Sizemore, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Connie Stensrud and her husband Brian of Exeter, Missouri, and Carie Swartz of Monett, Missouri; one sister, Patricia Hill of Peoria, Illinois; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Chris Blank, and sister, Virginia Ahlberg.
Mike grew up and attended school in Toulon, Illinois graduating from Toulon High School. After graduation he served in the United States Air Force. Mike and his family moved to this area in 1987 coming from Texas. He was employed by Walmart as an over the road truck driver for several years from where he retired. Mike was a ham radio operator and he enjoyed racing on dirt tracks and watching NASCAR, but most of all he loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Exeter Community Center in Exeter, Missouri. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Mike.
