Michael "Mike" A. Bohanan, 51 years, of
Fremont, NE passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 a the Butler County Health Center in
David City, NE.
Mike was born on December 17, 1971 to Ray and Bonnie (Peterson) Bohanan in
Fremont, NE. He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves from October 11, 1990 to November 17, 1997. Following Mike's time in the service, he worked as a cook for many years, then added a few other trades under his belt before making a career out of a CDL license.
Mike was very involved in his recovery and had a clean date of May 14, 2014. He loved helping friends and family when he could. He loved riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and traveling. He loved his job and family.
On May 17, 2019, Mike married Samantha Blahak in
Fremont, NE.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Bohanan; and brother, Jeff Bohanan.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha; sons, Payden, Jesse, and Kyle; brother Chad (Mary) Peterson; sister, Brandi (Lee) Tolliver; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol (John) Saunders; father-in-law, Steven Blahak; brother-in-laws, Zach Blahak and Steven Stearns; sister-in-laws, Kimberly Blahak (Eric McDunn) and Chrissy Blahak; nieces, Alexis Tolliver, Atlas (Mariah) Tolliver, Shawnelle (Louis) Schulzkump, Bella Sulley, and Lakota Stearns; and nephews, Beckham McDunn and Wilber Stearns.
Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in
Fremont, NE. Pastor Ryan Ankersen will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Family requests guest to wear Pittsburgh Steelers, Husker, and Harley Davidson attire in honor of Mike.
