Michael Andrew Boot

I was introduced to Mike by a mutual friend who has also passed, Randy Asp. Mike and I used to spend hours talking over the telephone sometimes until sunrise. He was one of the most interesting individuals I have ever met. He knew so much, but was never condescending about it. He made you feel good about your strengths and helped you overcome your weaknesses. I learned a great deal from Mike, and he was one of the top five most influential people in my life I have ever known. We also had so many common interests: Ham Radio, Trains, Science, Cars, History. We were both good story tellers, and would entertain each other with our mischievous life experiences over dinner at several local restaurants. I am so glad to have known Mike, and he will never be forgotten. My wife, Anita, also enjoyed many deep conversations about politics and social issues. My condolences to his family.
